I know the people in Watson are busying themselves with putting names to the several characters in the book. They ask if...and I smile. Where Is Watson?
Folks, I don't mind telling you where Watson is. It is in the heart of everyone who grew up in either urban or rural areas. It is in the heart of everyone who looks back on yesterday and tries to swallow the lump that magically appears in their throats. Watson rests deeply in the hearts of each and every one of us because...Watson Is Where It Wuz.

Bill Covey was born in Amarillo, Texas and moved to Watson to begin the Third Grade. Watson has been home ever since. To be honest Bill served twenty years in the army and has lived in Europe for some nine years, Central America for three years, Vietnam for two years and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the better part of seventeen years. He did visit Watson from time to time because, after all, Watson Is Where It Wuz.
